Rooted Froyo to CM?

Hi, I've searched online but couldn't find a concrete answer to this...

I'm on a rooted AT&T/Rogers N1 and flashed Froyo recently...

I've done a nandroid backup of my current config and would like to know if I can now flash CM on it and try it out to see which one I like better.

Do I only have to download the ROM and just install zip from sdcard?

And then if I don't like it better, just recover my previous config?

Thanks

In a nutshell yes, who's version of froyo did you flash? I ask this because they're versions included with the latest froyo radio, and some without. Which cyan rom do you intend to flash to? If you have the latest froyo radio, you may want to give cyanogens latest "beta" rom I try, it includes the 720p video recording hack.

just make sure you use the correct radio with the correct rom.
if you flash froyo with includes the radio it will update your radio, but when you flash something else it will not change the radio
