Can I use my class 6 SD card with my Nexus?
As of now, I have a class 6 16 GB SD card in my my touch (rooted)
Can I use this card in my Nexus? If so, is there anything I need to know in regard to formatting the card? Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, Class 6 is what you want.......as rag1247 said it has to be a micro sd....
