Actually, if you are really serious about rooting... I highly recommend you do it yourself. Yes, it's nerve wrecking, and don't you believe my friend Thomas, I was not a superstar, more a frightened monkey But once you have done it yourself, you will really feel you KNOW your phone, you are not frightened anymore, and whenever there is an update, or another ROM you'd like to try, you know you can do it without breaking out in (too much) sweat. Just do it! (But only if you WANT it)

wifi or 3g? My Wifi speed is no different to before. Possibly faster. Maybe you're just naturally going through a patch of low speed. Is it still acting up?

wifi seems to be normal as before. But 3g is a bit slow. I'm gonna try to reboot. I'm guessing I'm just in a bad spot. Thanks!

now that u mentioned it i used to see 3g speed of 700-900 every once in a while but ever since i rooted ive never been passed the 500s.
i wonder if it could have something to do with that

I'm in the Houston area. The spread of speeds I've received range from low 500 to 1600.

I started to wonder if maybe mine was low too, as I haven't seen high 3g speeds in a while myself. I just tested it.

First test 567
Second test 1217
Third 1594

Edit: I put the spread at 1600 only because of the last test, however, I have to say I believe I have never received 1600's with a Stock Rom.
