Oh, sorry, man. I went to the blackrose thread, but I didn't see it at first. It was way at the bottom. I'm gonna try to flash HBOOT and ICS today. Wish me luck.
And thanks for the help.

No Problem

I would highly recommend reviewing the thread, it is advanced stuff. I read it a few times initially to finally understand exactly what I was doing. And look at my last post on answering a member. It recommends some pages to read and basic, initial install.

Good Luck--

The MeDroid rom is great--but, precise on how to install correctly--

Omg, thank you soooo much rugmank. I couldn't get on yesterday to thank you, but you are a lifesaver. I used my old PC with all of my old android stuff and sdk kits, and I got it to work. The ROM is really nice, but I hope HW accel comes soon. I think I will try MeDroid, next!

You are Welcome

MeDroid has some CM9 commits that TexasIce doesn't. TexasIce is saying HW by EOM, we'll see--hope so.

These roms are amazing, considering they are Alpha--

Yes, I agree. They're pretty darn stable for an alpha. Oh, and while you're here, I see that MeDroid 6.1 requires IA2SD. If I've already got the custom partition for system/cache/data, why do I need apps2sd?

the custom partition doesn't have anything to do with a2sd. it just changes your hboot table sizes to allow for a larger system partition size to accomodate rom.

you still some type of a2sd to move them to ext

the new ia2sd is complicated to me, haven't studied it yet. it is explained in thread though

just follow OP page rom flashing instructions and no issue. it is automatic

i always wipe 3x including system before flashing--

And it's safer . Prevents you from having an expensive paperweight on your hands!

you can't restore a rom with a different hboot partition size, don't matter if you have br just need to resize back to stock sizes. Although i think i did get CM7 to flash over ics sizes, not sure.

Pretty Cool--like the bad guys getting caught--

My wife and I drive thru there twice a year to visit family in SE Pa, If for some crazy reason I get stopped I will ask if you are Sheanzy--

Doing OK, probably nearing end of flashing though-too many new phones coming out this year like quads and already looking at Samsung Note.

Just had second surgery in two years--Back done in April 2010 then in Jan this year reconstructive thumb surgery--but doing good

Take Care

Ken
