Flash Amon_Ra 2.2.1 thru Rom Manager, it will now be your recovery until you flash CWMod or maybe even reboot, forget-it's been awhile.

Anyway, BU sd card and outside of phone with sdformatter format it with full erase on and format size adjustment on. This is a much more thorough job than phone does, esp if you are having card issues.

Put it back in phone with Amon as your recovery and boot into recovery.

It will say if you have Amon

Scroll to partition sd card and select

then select partition sd card on next screen

I believe on the next screen-can't do it now-you will be given option to select partition size and set swap to zero

then partition

go back to second screen and select 2 to 3

then repeat to get 3 to 4

reboot

You can confirm ext size and type with Mini Partition Tool Wizard or similar program

If you like Amon get it and flash permanately thru Terminal

Just back up everything from your card to your PC.

In either RM, or your recovery of choice, choose the partition option with whatever size you want, and zero swap (you don't need swap).

CWM/RM only does ext3, which is fine. Amon starts with ext2, so you will have to upgrade with Amon to ext3 at least. Ext3 should be fine for almost anything, but you can easily upgrade to ext4 later if needed.

Put all your stuff back on your card, and you're done!

General Info
Those who had flashed gapps-gb-20110503-signed.zip, I suspect the GoogleBackupTransport.apk is not functioning. Thus when u do a full wipe, your apps and settings will not be restored automatically.

I may be wrong but nevertheless take it as an added info. (DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT THOUGH)

Re-compiled gapps-gb-20110507-signed.zip

@aseems

You can normally just wipe dalvik cache and cache between versions of the same rom unless something major has changed

Keep up with posts like Temasek's above, here and on the CM7 thread on XDA and see if anything applies to you

I just keep flashing nightlies so don't pay much attn to stable versions
