Auto-detect simply gives you a list of acceptable CPU frequencies that should not crash your phone.

Otherwise, it's really up to you.

I like to kick the clock speed way down when the screen is off. That way background applications don't get carried away with my battery.

I also slow the clock speed when the battery starts getting low. That way I can really stretch it out.

Thank you, I'll play around with the settings when I get off work, if I start now I'll never get any works done.

There definitely seems to be a power problem with 6.1 RC2. SetCPU is running but battery drain is bad.

Battery usage reports heavy Android OS usage.

Yes ..I tried setcpu it doesn't help much
so I rolled back to RC 1
