Question Music not showing as ringtones

Hi everybody,

I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
I would like to assign custom ringtones to my contacts, but when I try to edit them only 2 of the many songs I added show up as possible ringtones (as well as the ones that came with the phone).
I tried to google the solution and downloaded ringdroid. Once again, only 2 songs show up as possible ringtones, even thought I can still see and play all the others.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

This is something that I found annoying as well but you need to go in the music app and long press the song then go to use as phone ringtone after that you will have it in that list for ringtones me I find it annoying because I have to do that and then go back to the other song because I want to use the songs as my alarm.

Thats the easiest way but annoying indeed... Or you can simply take the mp3's you've selected to use as ringtones and put a copy of them in the system ringtones folder on your sd and they will show up in your ringtones list. You can do it for notifications sounds too.

SD :
----->>>>media ------>>>>audio ----->>>>Ringtones or notifications folders

*you can create the folders if there is none.

Thats what I did and works great.

ipeck the only thing with that is that if you put a copy won't it take up a load of space since you have the song on your SD card twice? Or when you say a copy do you just mean a shortcut? If not would that work?

Maybe the shortcut would work, i didn't tried it. As for space on SD, I don't use hundreds of mp3's for ringtone uses. A couple does it for me. And with a 16gb sd, putting like 30mb of mp3's for ringtones doesnt bother me too much.

Ill try the shortcuts and give feedback...
