I tried that back in February when I got my phone. I could not get it to work for me and just gave up.
Now I use windows media player to make play lists (after I copy the music to my phone's SD Card).

I use "doubleTwist" it works well.
Sync Android, Motorola, Samsung, HTC: doubleTwist with Amazon MP3 |

@N1David - Doubletwist has since been upgraded with an android app and the desktop app was upgraded too. It works very well.

It is possible with winamp but a bit annoying to setup.

+1 on DoubleTwist. VERY easy to use.
Also, It is very similar to iTunes, so those of you who have owned an iPhone will be able to use DoubleTwist with ease!
