How do you change your icon in messaging?

any answers yet? what phones can program the sim card with a "my number"? ive heard (read actually) that iphones and blackberries can do this. so can old sony ericssons and nokias.

went through a couple of old nokias at home... and no dice. tried an e71, some really low end and old black and white nokia, and an old mid range colored nokia... no dice.

i can look for a phone that can do this with people at work... but i need to know what models can do this. im sure a lot of people want answers too....

I am having the same problem as antikryst. In about phone there is nothing for my number and I too have tried all the other options and still have nothing but a grey box. Did anyone ever fix this?

I've been having this same problem forever too and no answers.

I'm sure it comes down to the fact that my phone # is not programmed in my SIM card but how the hell do u do that? And how is it possible that only some of us don't have our number programmed there?

I had the same problem and set my phone number in "Call Settings" instead of "About Phone" (I could not do it in "About Phone")... then my icon appeared.
