'Silent' sms app?

Guys,

anyone knows an app that would make sms (text) message (only from a certain number/contact) come in without any notification (alert/ringtone) on the phone?

It would be very useful for tracking the phone silently.

I looked, but haven't found any...

There's lost of apps that can block sms, but it blocks the track at the same time, what I want is for sms to go through, but without the notification.

Tip: If you can only use mp3's with some these apps, search Google for a silent mp3 with no sound.

these apps can customize sms tone, but it's not what I need.

I need an app that will disable sms notification (for certain contacts), so sms can be received incognito!

Sms popup, has exactly this option, but it doesn't work on my Nexus (the option doesn't work,sms popup works perfect apart from that)

just download a silent notification tone, put it on the sd card, and assign it to whoever it is your trying to conceal Here's how...

Download the silent notification tone here:

Now, create the following directory tree on your sd card:
/media/audio/notifications

Copy the silence.mp3 file in the new notifications directory and reboot the phone. Now just assign "silence" the the mystery contact...all fixed!

If you want to add your own ringtones, the folder on your sd card should be:
/media/audio/ringtones

and for alarms, obviously:
/media/audio/alarms

Give that shot...

Look man, thanks, but it seems that you didn't quite understand what I asked for.

I know how to make my notifications/ringtones/alarms.

First of all, it's not just the sound. I want not to have any notification for a certain contact (status bar, popup, screen on).

Second of all, you cannot assign sms tones to contacts, only ringtones by default. There are apps that can do this (mentioned above) but it doesn't solve my problem, cause the phone lights up whenever there's new sms.
