how can i delete the Amazon mp3 app?

It came pre-installed on the phone, it's always running, and I will never use it. The phone's uninstaller won't get rid of it and neither will Linda File Manager. Anyone have any suggestions?

You can't get rid of it unless you root your phone.

I doubt that it's "always running." It will start if you open it, but it does not start up with the phone boot. To turn it off go to:

Settings > Applications > Running Services

Having the program run in memory is not hurting your phone. If Android needs the memory Amazon MP3 is taking up, it'll close it and take the memory. Previous poster is right though, you can't delete it unless you're rooted.

I'm assuming if you're rooted you have adb. Use these 2 commands:

adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/appname.apk
