Any way to increase speed of PDAnet?
I've been tethering my N1 with PDAnet and have been very unimpressed with the speed. I haven't done a speed test yet but it is noticeably slower than when I used to tether my Sprint BB Tour. BTW, it shows 3G and all four bars of reception. Anyone have any tips or tricks to increase the speed?
Thanks! |

Pdanet doesn't regulate speed, possibly a setting in PC? I've been using it for years and have averaged .25mb on edge and .92 MB on 3G. If have noticed, on occasion, that speed will slow when PC or phone is downloading an update or something in the background. Also, just the other day I connected and opened Google chrome which defaults to the basic Google home page and i notice pdanet downloading 25mb of something (still don't know what) which did slow my search. I exited out of Google and open IE; the speed increased and the downloading stopped.

... pdanet just updated and you can now send and receive SMS messages from your PC, while tethered to your pc.
