GV & navigation app...?

Hi all, i'm pretty much sold on this phone and may order it in the next week or so but i have a few questions i hope someone may be able to answer.

I understand that google voice and the navigation app that uses google maps only works in the US. Is there any other apps on the phone that only work in the US and does anyone know if these apps will ever work in the UK ?
