Rubbery Silicon Case vs Hard Crystal Plastic Cases?

Anyone have any experiences with these? I'm not sure which one is better with the Nexus One, although im thinking about the Silicon Case lol

The more I think about this phone, the more I should have NOT gotten it engraved. Then I wouldn't feel forced to get some form of clean case so I can show it off.

I picked up a clear plastic case from amazon for like 10 bucks. We'll see how that does...

Yeah I'm buying mine from Amazon too. But dunno if I should get silicon or clear plastic since they're both the same price. Never used any so dunno which one has better protection or feel better.

I almost bought both. They really can't ship fast enough, God forbid I drop this thing in the next 5-7 days.

IMO i would rather go with out a case or gel skin. I have found in other phones ive had they skin or case gathers dirt and scratches and wears on the phone.

I have a BB 8900 now (nexus coming this afternoon

) and use those full phone skins that you stick on. There is not a scratch on it and ive dropped it hundreds of times. The best deal i think is from bestskinsever.com 10 bucks shipped!

I email them and asked when there coming out with a N1 skin, ill be the first on board!

I used to use both soft and hard with iphone and found that

Silicone - few protect, getting old fast but more intimate friendly use

Plastic Hard -More protect, Not old fast, looks better but feel not comfortable to use

I always buy a case when I get a new phone...but some how I always end up Naked....

Ive used both cases quite a bit.

Soft cases i feel offer a bit more bump protection

Hard cases imo look better and offer pretty good protection against scratches and scuffs.

soft cases seem to sick more to get in and out of your pocket.

There is a hybrid rubberized plastic one available from fommy.com. I'm waiting for mine to arrive. The all-silicone ones do feel better, but may be too stretchy to stay on with so big a screen and so small a border, and they don't last very long.

I hope that future Nx's will come with a small indent for attaching a tether...
