is it possible to install arabic language to the nexus one phone

I don't think a native Arabic IME is available, but since the SDK has been released, one should be available soon. It's quite possible that you can download a java keyboard for Arabic in the meantime.

is this the best solution as performance/power consumption wise?
i think Arabic should be implemented by android as Japanese and other languages

beside with a java i can write Arabic but can i read received Arabic SMSs?

you can already read Arabic SMS, no additional software should be needed. To test, send yourself an sms from your computer and type it in Arabic, or just navigate to any Arabic page.

You can copy and paste arabic as well. العربية


Also; no native Japanese IME has been officially supplied; someone took it off of a custom firmware from a conference. The only fully supported eastern IME I know of is for Chinese.

[Just To Confirm]: you must see your device number on screen, that confirm that you have done all previous steps correctly

NOTE: don't close this black window (cmd window)

1.10: Type: "fastboot-windows oem unlock" then Enter (For Mac users: fastboot-mac oem unlock)

1.11: In Nexus One: You will see a warning. Scroll to "[Yes]" from the voice control

1.12: Turn off your Nexus One (yes again)

1.13: Press the "power button" and "trackBall" together till you see a white screen (with some text on it)

1.14: Go back to the cmd window, and type: "install-superboot-windows.bat" then Enter (For Mac users: install-superboot-mac.sh)

3.8: Copy "update_ar2_n1_corrSkia.zip" to Nexus One Memory Card in your "My Computer"

3.9: Disconnect Nexus One from your computer

3.10: Press on the TrackBall

3.11: Go back to Recovery

3.12: Then choose: "Flash zip from sdcard"

3.13: Then choose: "update_ar2_n1_corrSkia.zip"
