Hey guys, just wanna get some feedback here. I am having mixed results when using bluetooth audio transfer on different devices. From my phone (Nexus One) the sound is very compressed, from a customers Iphone 4 you can hear what sounds like a crinkling plastic bag in the background, on a friends Incredible, it sounds great. I am wondering if any of you have experienced the same problems, hopefully on the N1 but any feedback is welcome. I have tried my phone on several different bluetooth devices and it sounds the same every time. It also makes no difference if it is Pandora or music stored on the phone.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

one day when I was playing around with clockword mod and selected restart adbd(I thought it meant the adb daemon but I guess it means something else) in the advanced options area.Well I consider my self pretty tech smart and "advanced" for a 13 year old but I guess things happen. Now when I boot my nexus one the actual boot animation(not splash) is not showing for the first 3 quarters of the boot up. Then I thought I bricked my device because the screen wasn't showing the animation for 20 sec. Then I saw the touch-sensitve buttons light up and then 2 seconds later the animation apeared only for 2 seconds untill my device was booted. I tried overwriting the boot animation in both /system/media/ and in /device/local/ ad it had no effect. I dont know what to do. I am rooted using universal androot because I want to be able to unvoid my warrnaty. So my bootloader isn't unlocked. I am running Cyanogen Mod 6 and am loving it so far! But I am wondering what to do? Should I re-flash the rom? I tried pressing restart adbd again and it did nothing? i have not done a Nandroid restore because it will mess up my apps that are on the sdcard if i restore back. I dont know what to do!?!?!?!?!

I have had my Nexus 1 for a month or so now, bought it on ebay. I really like it!

One problem I am having though is that if I listen to a voice mail message, for example, my screen blacks out fairly quickly, 1 - 3 seconds, then it is very difficult to get the screen back to answer prompts, like to delete, etc.

This also happens on regular calls too.

Usually if I press the power button enough it will come back, but sometimes not until after the call has ended.

Any suggestions on how to fix this will be appreciated.....

I was reading another thread, and the suggestion was to factory reset for that issue, I may try that here if you all don't have some suggestions for me.

Thanks,

John

Hey guys, i'm not sure if this is the right section, so apologies if it isnt.

I bought the Nexus one on Vodafone UK and have been switching between the iphone and N1 ( think the keyboard is easier on iphone)

anyway was on 2.1 when i got it, as you will probably know Vodafone took weeks before releasing 2.2, so i got impatient and uploaded the korean version, and its worked great, but i want to put it back to the Vodafone 2.1 so i can receive the official update. or at least put it on a UK version of 2.2, just because i want to, and if i consider selling it i'd rather it was on UK software.

Ps, im not really clued up to well on technobabble so please keep it simple.

Thanks

Hi,

Had my Nexus one for about 3 weeks now, pretty happy with it, but a few little problems that are getting a little annoying, which I wonder if anyone has a fix for!

The first, and most annoying, is that the phone seems to lose access to the SIM card. Twice now I've had the phone next to be, either on the arm of the sofa, or on the coffee table, and peopl ehave phoned me on my home land line, saying they can't get through to my mobile number. When I look at the phone, it's requesting the SIM pin number. As soon as I enter this, it works again. It doesn't look like the phone has rebooted, as the browser has pages open which I had been viewing before, and other apps are open.

The second is to do with plain txt messages. Firstly. I had an error receiving a txt message, saying I couldn't receive it because I had to many in my inbox, so I had to delete all the threads, even after fdoing this it wouldn't receive the txt message until I rebooted the phone. However, I don't believe I did have that many, it would only have been 50 at the very most, as I'm not a huge txt addict! And I used to be able to go months on my old Nokia 5800 without having to clear the inbox, which could hold a couple of hundred txts. How can I increase the total number of txt allowed in my inbox? I have 50mb free on the phone memory, and 7GB free on the SD card.

Lastly, while sending plain txt messages, it can sometimes take forever to send even the most simple of txt message, even just one that says 'OK, I'll pick you up in 5 minutes' can sometimes display the 'sending' message for several minutes, and sometimes the txt message never actually sends, and you have to delete it, and send the message again. Usually the second time around the message sends!

Anyone know how to fix any/all of the above problems?

Cheers

Ben

P.S. On Vodafone UK, running Android Froyo 2.2

Okay, So I know there was another thread on this, but that didn't really give me an answer.

So I decide to switch off my phone before going to bed,So I wouldn't have to charge it the whole night.
I wake up, and then poof, no more edge. Just disappeared. I checked the APN, everythings okay. My bills paid for, everything.

This may be happening 'cause I'm supposed to get Vodafone Mobile connect activated on my phone either tomorrow or day after, but I doubt that.

HELP, please?

UPDATE:

Nevermind, I figured it out, just redid the whole APN thing and rebooted. Thanks anyway

Hi Folks,

Since I received my OTA Froyo update my N1 has never connected to my WiFi at home. I have done a few things:

Changed my pre-shared key to less characters, as originally this was the full available length (a little over the top I know)

Changed my network encryption type between PSK and PSK2, I haven't tried WEP, but don't see why I should have to seeing as it's less secure and previously I was connected using PSK2

Using TKIP & AES encryption or AES only

Forgetting the network within WiFi settings

Installed WiFi Fixer, which seems to make no difference

Removing symbol characters from my pre-shared key (just in case this was an issue) such as # or ? etc

I cannot even connect. Originally I was receiving an error that I was using the wrong password, even though I clearly wasn't.

The status just says connecting then, disconnected.

Any help would be appreciated, are others experiencing these issues?

I'm a UK Vodafone N1 user
Thanks,
