Proxy server actually help to load frequently access pages faster, as they are cached.

Without the ability to cache, pages would take longer to retrieve.

This also is made (in part) possible through 'cookies' which install on pc / smartphone etc.

I guess Canada will see the Nexus, whether under 'Wind' or 'Bell' etc. time will tell.

Actually Wind's 3G is AWS which is the same as T-Mobile's 3G network.

Here is the trick:

2. Navigate to SETTINGS menu
3. Choose WIRELESS & NETWORKS
4. Goto MOBILE NETWORK SETTINGS and press ACCESS POINT NAMES
5. Press the menu button at bottom (right beside the back key!) and choose NEW APN
6. Enter BELL in the name field
7. Enter the following information within the appropriate fields and leave ALL the other fields to default:
   • APN: pda.bell.ca
   • Proxy server: web.wireless.bell.ca
   • Port: 80
8. Save changes
9. Smile & Enjoy. The little 3G symbol should appear if you turn Wifi off and try to use the browser or anything else that needs web access.

Just got back from a Bell store where they told me the network may not be supported on third party phone. Basically thought to myself "screw you guys the internet is way more useful". Seems like I was right.
