AT&T WiFi hot spot with AT&T Nexus?
Has anoyone be able to use ATT's hotspots with Nexus? Its included with the data plan, but could not make it work when I just tried now. We do not have 3G in town so hoped to use ATT's hotspots...

To be able to use those wifi locations you need to have an iPhone data plan or blackberry/ smartphone data plan. Basically $30 a month and the password is your cell #.

sweet I've always wondered how that worked, but yeah if the password is your cell #, is the username the same? I've never used one but was kinda curious on this too.

Funny thing is, every "AT&T Hotspot" in my area is just some free bubble like Starbucks or McDonald's anyway lol. What a rip.

I could not find anyway to make this work. I looked at all the docs for how to do it with Blackberry, iPhone, and WinMo. Blackberry/iPhone do it automagically some how, and WinMo you down load an app that logs you in, so I am not sure there is a way presently with Nexus... at least nothing I found yet.

So I asked AT&T about this, and according to them, as long as you have the $30 smart phone plan, you can do this with the Nexus. You use the same number/passwd to log on that you use to log on to their wireless site to pay your bill/etc. But you MUST have the $30 Smart Phone plan... not the $10 or $15 ones that some of us had.
Still need to test this, but they seemed sure it would work.
